With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Jana specializes in creating deeply personalized residential spaces that enable individuals to create their stories. Expertly guiding clients through post-disaster rebuilding, new construction, and major renovations, Jana combines a keen eye for detail with an innate understanding of architectural harmony. As a visionary, she is dedicated to transforming environments that reflect the lives of the people who inhabit them.
Jana earned her Master of Fine Arts degree from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, paving the way for a successful 15-year career in film, television, and stage design. This extensive experience in set and costume design has equipped her with a strong foundation in aesthetics, spatial planning, and the art of storytelling. Just as she once supported narratives in the entertainment industry, Jana now brings that same passion for storytelling to the world of interior design, crafting spaces that invite and inspire.
Originally drawn to Los Angeles by the entertainment industry, Jana skillfully blends East Coast sensibilities with the timeless, sun-soaked influences of the West. This unique fusion informs her design approach, allowing her to create inviting interiors that leave a lasting impact on her clients’ lives.

Jana’s compassionate approach is especially vital in challenging situations such as post-disaster reconstruction, where her empathetic guidance helps families regain stability and inspires hope. Having had to move her family out of her own home, for 14 months, after a giant eucalyptus tree fell on it, she understands firsthand how disruptive this kind of life event can be. Her seamless process encompasses everything from initial design planning to sourcing furniture, ensuring that each step is handled with care and precision.

Vonnie has been organizing since childhood—she was the kid who would tidy up her friends’ rooms during playdates (to the delight of their parents). What started as a quirky habit turned into her life’s work: creating beautifully organized, functional spaces that feel effortless to live and work in.
Since 2007, Vonnie not only keeps the JDI offices running smoothly but she creates organized spaces for our clients’ homes and offices. She moves our clients out and then back in after major renovations. For newly built homes and renovated office spaces, she sets up organized systems the bring clarity to a world of chaos.
At home, Vonnie puts her skills to the test daily, keeping her husband, 8-year-old twins, and fur babies organized and thriving.

Stephanie is the one who takes your project plans and brings them to life, detail by detail. With a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Cal State Northridge, and associate’s degree in architectural Drafting, plus a Certificate in Sustainable Design and Development from College of Canyons. She brings strong skills in CAD drafting, hand drafting, and 3D modeling to create thoughtful and detail-driven design solutions.
After years in the retail home improvement industry, Stephanie knows how to think practically and creatively, mapping out everything from kitchen cabinetry and tile layouts to lighting and finishes.
Stephanie transforms architectural plans into polished, real-world spaces!
Outside of work, Stephanie stays just as busy and creative at home with her husband, growing pre-teen son, and their energetic puppy!

Deborah has always had an eye for design—first in fashion, now in interiors. With a degree in Clothing and Textiles from UNC Greensboro, she built a career in Visual Merchandising for major retailers like Lord & Taylor.

After raising her three children, she brought her creativity back full force with a Certificate in Interior Design from UCLA Extension.
Deborah brings a unique balance to JDI: she understands firsthand the realities of busy family life and how thoughtful design can make everyday life smoother, happier, and more beautiful. She helps clients discover solutions that are not just stylish, but also livable, whether it’s a family home or your corporate offices.

"What is there to say about Jana other than she is the best. We came to her in 2020 during the heart of Covid with an idea for a remodel (opening up the house / redoing the kitchen). The thing is, we live in SF and she's based in LA. Despite that, we were able to work virtually together throughout the process with ease. All she needed was a floorpan and it was off to the races. Within 24 hours she had come up with 2 options that blew us away (the quintessential, why didn't I think of that). "Jana Design Interiors took our humble little ski-country townhouse and turned it into a magnificent home! Jana was amazingly creative at finding ways to reconfigure our space as she turned our galley kitchen into a beautiful, full-working kitchen.
